Cynthia Stretch

Cynthia Stretch lovingly established this scholarship endowment in honor of her father. Clifford Beamer was an Electronics/Physics Technician for the Physical Sciences and Mathematics Division at Foothill College from March of 1982 until his retirement in the summer of 2003. Clifford’s love of his job was matched by his devotion to the students at Foothill who Clifford admired for persevering and overcoming obstacles to pursuing their education in the sciences, particularly physics. By supporting and encouraging the students’ passions and goals, Clifford wanted to help Foothill students create a brighter and happier future for themselves. With the creation of this scholarship, Clifford’s family wants to extend the devotion of their father to Foothill College students by offering a scholarship which will validate the students’ educational goals and successes.
