De Anza Social Science and Humanities Scholarship Donors
This scholarship is generously made possible by the following donors:
Cookie’s Quilters – Spearheaded by Cookie Hoover, a De Anza Commissioner and Cupertino resident who organized her friends to provide handmade quilts and blankets for De Anza’s Child Development Center. In addition, they sold their lovely quilts and blankets and gave the proceeds to provide for scholarships for CDC students.
Friends and Family of Dorothy Hamlin – Dottie was the driving force behind the Child Development Center and was responsible for creating the student teaching practicum. Her friends and family lovingly gave funding for scholarships in her memory.
Friends and Family Thomas Galindo – Thomas was a history professor at De Anza College who passed away in 2002. His brothers and sisters donate annually to fund a scholarship for De Anza students interested in pursing a career in teaching or history.
