Engage STEM

Engage STEM – a local non-profit generously donated to Foothill College for STEM Scholarships. Russell Yang founded Engage STEM, a student-run 501©(3) nonprofit whose mission is “to provide and promote accessible STEM education.” Engage STEM recently had to dissolve, but Mr. Yang, generously donated funds to support scholarships at Foothill for students majoring in STEM.

From its founding to its dissolution, Engage STEM offered free programs such as Tech Literacy for Seniors workshops and STEM outreach programs for middle and high school students. Over the years, with support from the Hershey Foundation’s Heartwarming Project Action Grants and MIT AgeLab, the programs impacted thousands of youth and older adults.
