Foothill Vuong Van Bac Endowed Scholarship for Students who Work Part-time

Vuong Van Bae was a South Vietnamese lawyer and politician. He was born into a family of scholars with few financial means. As a law student, Vuong Van Bae worked full time to pay for his study and living expenses yet still managed to graduate at the top of his law school class. In his first career, in addition to running his own law office, he was a beloved professor at the Institute of Da Lat University. Subsequently, he took several leaves from his law office to serve his country as a member of the South Vietnamese delegation at the Paris Peace Talks, as ambassador to the United Kingdom, and then as the last Minister of Foreign Affairs for South Vietnam.
This scholarship is designed to support students who need to work in order to attend Foothill College, while maintaining high academic standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Applicant must be enrolled in at least 6 units at Foothill at the time of the scholarship deadline and disbursement of funds.
2. Applicant’s cumulative Foothill College GPA must be a 3.0 or higher.
3. Applicant must work at least 20 hours per week.
