De Anza John Long Memorial Photography Scholarship

Isabelle and Jim Long of Sunnyvale helped establish this scholarship shortly after their son, John, died in a motorcycle accident in September 1987. John, the owner of an advertising photo business in Palo Alto, received his initial photography instruction at De Anza College and earned his A.A. degree in photography in 1980.

This scholarship is intended for a De Anza student who has a passion for photography and is intent on pursuing a career in photography.

Minimum Criteria:
-Must be majoring in photography at De Anza College
-Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
-Must be enrolled in at least 6 units at the time of application
-In your “My Story” essay, be sure to include your future goals in photography.
