The Pursuit of Excellence (POE) Scholarship Program

The Pursuit of Excellence (POE) scholarship program supports students with demonstrated financial need who are determined to pursue a college degree.
POE Provides:
• Financial Scholarships- $4000-$6000 per year
• Continued financial support throughout college – based on need
• Mentoring throughout college
• Workshops
• Stipends for unpaid internships
• Financial incentive post college graduation for students who graduate from UC with just 2-years
Qualifications:
• Financial Need-typical family income less than $70,000/year
• Completion of 2 years of classes from Foothill, De Anza, Canada College,
College of San Mateo, or Skyline College
• Application by February 28, 2021
Preference Given to:
• College GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Plan to attend UC as an upper level student
• Student work experience
