Description: Medical Technology Company Internship
Through the Science Learning institute (SLI), Foothill College students will have an opportunity to intern with a medical technology/ medical device start-up company on such projects as a digital cardiac rehab program and medical devices focused on prostate health, women’s health, and other medical issues. One of these internships is a digital marketing internship (Moving Analytics).

Internship commitments:

• Enrollment in Foothill College ITRN 50 series course (depends on projected number of hours of internship). Course tuition will be covered by the Science Learning Institute or your financial aid.
• A program orientation for the summer internship program in late June with the Science Learning Institute. Participation in cohort sessions through the summer for professional development.
• Submission of a final report of your internship experience at the end of the summer.
• Part-time (average 15-20 hours per week) summer internship between June 28 – September 17 (depends on the placement).

Scholarship amount:
Scholarship payments will occur in two installments and will depend on successful completion at each stage: one in the middle of the internship and one at the end. Total scholarship amount will be between $2,500 and $3,500 depending on the placement.

Application criteria:

• Full time student at Foothill College for winter 2021 and projected for spring 2021 (at least 12 units each quarter).
• Full completion of the application, including naming a faculty/staff reference and uploading an updated resume.

Priority given to:

• Students with demonstrated financial need, who have not previously had an internship or research experience, and who have the intent to transfer.
• First time degree earners (no prior degree such as a Bachelor’s or Associate degree)
