Foothill Galin Family Math Scholarship

Ben Galin, a Foothill alum and Stanford graduate, has always loved math and decided he wanted to give back to Foothill College. This scholarship is intended for students who plan to transfer to UC, or research-oriented university and/or college and graduate as a math major. (no CSUs (California State University system))

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Applicant must be enrolled in at least 6 units at Foothill College at the time of the scholarship deadline and disbursement of scholarship funds.
2 Applicant must be planning to transfer in the Fall to a U.C., or research-oriented university or college as a math major. CSUs (California State Universities) are not considered research-oriented universities for the purpose of this scholarship.
3. Applicant must have successfully completed or is planning to complete Math 1D, 2A, and 2B by the Spring quarter.
4. Applicant must answer this supplemental question: Please demonstrate your passion for math and how you plan to use a math degree in your future career goals. Be sure to include how you have prepared for your future math studies (Honors Program, Service Leadership projects, math conferences, clubs, math peer tutoring, research projects/papers etc.)
