Foothill Global Experiential Learning Ambassador Scholarship for the Spring 2023 Florence Program

The Foothill Office of Global Experiential Learning is offering four $1,000 scholarships in the form of an AIFS fee reduction (no direct payment to the student) for students accepted into the Florence program. The purpose of this funding is to support students who need some financial support to be able to enroll in this program, and who are interested in becoming Foothill Ambassadors for Global Experiential Learning.

Eligibility: All Spring 2023 Florence program applicants who identify financial need and demonstrate a commitment to fulfilling the expectations of the award are eligible to apply. In order to receive the award, applicants must have completed their AIFS application by the scholarship application deadline and paid the $450 program deposit. Scholarship award will be contingent upon acceptance into the program.

Expectations: Awardees of this scholarship must be willing to share their experiences abroad via blogs, pictures, and/or video (at least once a week) on social media, provide a testimonial at the end of their program (to be shared on the Foothill College and/or Foundation website), and be willing to attend on occasion (in person or remotely) outreach events for future Global Experiential Learning programs.

Application dates & deadlines: Application now open. Deadline: December 11, 2022. Notification of Award: December 21, 2022.

Selection process: Applications will be reviewed by a Foothill Global Experiential Learning Scholarship Committee. All applicants will be notified of results via email at the conclusion of the process.
