Foothill Organizacion Latino Americana (OLA) Scholarship

Description:
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize a student with a strong commitment to community service, on-campus engagement or leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Applicant must be a student at Foothill College at the time of application submission.

2. Applicant must have a strong commitment to community service, on-campus engagement or leadership within the Latinx community.

3. Applicant must be enrolled in at least 6 units at Foothill College at the time of the scholarship deadline.

• If you are selected as a scholarship recipient and are transferring for Fall of the upcoming academic year, you must provide a copy of your letter of acceptance or proof of enrollment at your transfer school in order for us to send the scholarship funds to that school for disbursement.

4. At the time of the scholarship deadline, applicant must have completed at least 12 units at Foothill College.

5. Applicant’s cumulative Foothill GPA must be a 2.50 or higher.

Special Instructions:
1. Citizenship, or legal immigration status is not a requirement to apply.

2. In your “My Story” essay, please tell us about yourself and your educational and career goals.

3. Answers to the supplemental questions will play a major role in selection of the scholarship recipient.

4. If you are selected as a scholarship recipient and are transferring for Fall of the upcoming academic year, you must provide a copy of your letter of acceptance or proof of enrollment at your transfer school in order for us to send the scholarship funds to that school for disbursement.
