De Anza Sandra Diaz Memorial Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship is created by friends, colleagues and students of Sandra Diaz. Sandra was a nursing student at De Anza College before she became a valued instructor, role model and mentor to nursing students. She was the consummate professional and epitomized the best qualities of nursing. Her caring, compassion, sense of humor, and belief in lifelong learning will live on through this scholarship.

Criteria:

• Must be actively enrolled in the De Anza nursing program and have completed at least 2 quarters of the nursing program.
• Applicant plans to eventually earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Financial Need a consideration.
• In your ’My Story’ essay, please describe what you think makes a great nurse and what inspired you to become one.
