De Anza Professor Kang and Jessica Chao Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship, in loving memory of Professor Kang Chao and Jessica Chao, is for students committed to their education who transfer to UC Berkeley and major in Economics, East Asian Studies, and/or Asian-American Studies.

Applicant must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units.
-Applicant must be planning to transfer to UC Berkeley in the Fall
-Applicant must be planning to pursue a degree in Economics, East Asian Studies, or Asian-American Studies at UC Berkeley
-My Story Essay should demonstrate commitment to student’s education.
-Payment will be provided upon proof of enrollment to UC Berkeley with a major of economics, East Asian Studies, or Asian-American Studies.
-Applicant must demonstrate financial need (if they qualify for FAFSA Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA)).
