De Anza - Samantha and Kimberly Swensson Memorial Scholarship

This very special scholarship is in memory of two wonderful women, former De Anza student, Samantha Swensson and her sister, Kimberly Elise Swensson.

Two $500 scholarships are available; one in honor of Samantha for a student who has overcome a personal difficulty (such as an eating disorder or other medical problem) and are now showing academic success; and one in honor of Kimberly, for a student who has overcome addiction to alcohol or drugs, either personally or within the family, and is now showing academic success.

*The applicant must write a one-page essay titled “A Turning Point” describing how your efforts to overcome your personal difficulty have contributed to your success in school.
