Foothill Central Services Classified Senate Scholarship

Description:
The Central Services Classified Senate Scholarship award intends to highlight the following: ACADEMIC POTENTIAL AND SERVICE TO OTHERS IN THE COLLEGE AND COMMUNITY . The award is intended to encourage students to pursue higher education so that through the development of their intellect, they may be of greater service to their communities.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Applicant must be a Foothill College student.

2. Applicant must be enrolled in at least 6 units at Foothill College at the time of the scholarship deadline.

3. Applicant must have completed 24 units at Foothill College towards an Associate Degree or transfer program.

4. Applicant’s cumulative Foothill GPA must be a 2.5 or higher.

5. Applicant must be enrolled in at least 6 units at Foothill College at the time of disbursement of scholarship funds.

6. Applicants must show participation in community service within the last 2 years, either on campus or in the community. This may be illustrated by the applicant’s activity in leadership by holding a student body office, or by participating in work, college and community activities that have goals of good citizenship, etc.

7. Applicant must demonstrate financial need: Applicant must file a current academic year’s financial aid application (the FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov for U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens, or the California Dream Act Application at https://dream.csac.ca.gov for undocumented students who qualify for AB540 status) at least one week prior to the scholarship application deadline by 4:00pm. NOTE: Undocumented students who do not qualify for AB540 status should contact the Financial Aid Office for guidance about completing a financial aid application.

Special Instructions:
1. This scholarship is offered for Foothill College and De Anza College students. Please note: De Anza students may apply for the same scholarship offered by De Anza College.
